We are proud to offer free membership to anyone interested in amateur radio and the activities of the Almaden Radio Club. Our goal is to promote the enjoyment and advancement of amateur radio without any financial barriers.
While membership is free, we always welcome donations from those who wish to support the club. Donations help us fund club events, maintain equipment, and provide educational resources to our members. If you would like to contribute, please send your donation to our mailing address mentioned above. Every contribution, no matter the size, is greatly appreciated and helps sustain our club’s mission.

Join us for the Almaden Radio Club net every Monday at 7:00 PM. This weekly gathering is an excellent opportunity for members to connect, discuss various topics, and stay updated with club activities. It’s a perfect time to test your equipment, practice your skills, and engage with fellow operators.
San Jose Simplex Group
For those in the southern part of San Jose, many Almaden Radio Club member are also active in the San Jose Simplex Group. It’s an excellent opportunity for amateur radio operators and those interested in getting started in the hobby.

During the Thursday night simplex net, members engage in casual conversations (ragchewing), conduct radio checks, and offer or seek advice. The San Jose Simplex Group welcomes all amateur radio operators and those interested in becoming a ham radio operator, including individuals looking to upgrade their licenses. Additionally, the San Jose Simplex Group organizes ham-related social events, park activations, barbecues, and various other activities related to ham radio.
